MacBook Pro 16" charger is 96w. Does this hub support it or is it only for smaller chargers?
YES, Unet | USB-C Hub ( 6 in 1 ) | PD supports 96w charger, it will deliver 86 Wattage with your 96W MacBook charger.
It supports 96W chargers and all the lower wattage chargers.Backward compatibility with 87W, 61W, 45W, 30W, 18W, etc. Be aware that the actual charging voltage may vary depending on different chargers, cables, and devices.
⚠️ We suggest you use the original adapter for your USB-C Laptops/ Smartphones/ Tablets.
Will this be compatible with 2017 MacBook Pro?

I used it for my M1 iPad pro with no issue. I used HDMI, PD and USB-A at the same time. HDMI is 4K@30Hz which is sufficient for my case. It is in metal and it feels solid and durable.
This is the hub I have been waiting for! I can finally connect all my peripherals through one hub. I can plug in my 4K monitor, my speaker and webcam, power my MacBook Pro and connect via ethernet.
In my iPadPro 12" works with no problem. I try HDMI, PD and USB-A wireless mouse at the same time. It looks great.
